Enzyme with cell-killing properties

We fly to the moon, develop artificial intelligence ...., but we still can't really cure cancer.

In recent years, scientists at BRAIN Biotech have identified their own nuclease enzymes and successfully developed their own genome editing tool based on the CRISPR/Cas principle. This tool is now being further developed by Akribion Genomics (in the start-up phase). Among the identified nucleases, the class 2 CRISPR nuclease "G-dase E" is of particular interest: it possesses cell-killing properties and enables targeted cell depletion using RNA biomarkers. It could enable new therapeutic approaches in oncology.
